44th Annual Walk for the Hungry

We’ve got BIG NEWS to share about this year’s 44th Annual Walk for the Hungry and Homeless!  Due to feedback we received from many of you, our valuable walkers and walk coordinators, we have opted to change our regular Sunday afternoon event to a Saturday morning event.  That’s right!  This year’s event will take place:

Saturday, October 14, 2017

@ the Claremont University Consortium

Registration Begins at 9 a.m. * Walk Begins at 10 a.m.

This will allow us to beat the unseasonable heat of the last few years during our 5K/10K Superhero Walk while still raising funds to support our struggling neighbors.

Another new change? We will now be calling our walk event the Walk for the Hungry and Homeless to more accurately reflect our mission and our vision to heal our community of homelessness and hunger. Plus we hope to bring even more excitement by bringing some of the products from our Healthy Living Programs right to the Walk for the Hungry and Homeless. We will be transplanting a few vendors from our Pomona Valley Certified Farmers’ Market to the Walk to bring our walkers a satellite Farmers’ Market.
